About Us
Endurance Fish Company was formed as a vision for the future but its beginnings originate back to 1957. Back in the 1950s, Buck Burkholder, found himself stationed in Kodiak Alaska and came across a very special place on the South End of Kodiak Island by the name of Olga Bay. Olga Bay was the start of Alaska fishing for the Burkholder family and it is still a place they are active and hold dear to their heart. Buck’s children, Bernie, Wayne, and Nina were all introduced to fishing in Olga Bay at a young age. Cutting their teeth picking Sockeye salmon was only the start of where we are today.
What We Do
Endurance Fish Company manages its vessels prioritizing three key components that it contributes to operating any highly successful commercial fishing operation. The first component is recruiting and retaining the highest quality team of captains and crews. Second, is providing our team with state of the art and well maintained equipment and gear. The third is giving our teams with the right equipment the greatest fishing opportunities. Endurance Fish Company works hard to achieve all three of these goals and strives to lead the way in advancements both on and off the water.
